The G-Scan 2 has an exponentially faster speed as it boasts a much more powerful processor. Keep in mind that the G-Scan was an absolute pleasure for its user friendliness and speed, but GIT took a good thing and made it even better by giving this thing even more processing power than its older brother. In addition to the great speed of operation, there is the lightning fast boot up. From the time that the unit is energized to the time when you’re making vehicle selection, we may be talking about 3 to 4 seconds, assuming the unit was shut down properly. Once the unit is booted, selections are almost instantaneous with very nominal “thinking time” between activations. Some applications are a little quicker than others, but overall, faster than ANY of the mainstream diagnostic tools I have used. The medium of speed on things like boot up and access to programs seems to always be Snap-On’s high end diagnostic tool systems. Compared to Verus and Verdict, this thing is absolutely lightning fast! This thing uses the Windows 6.0 CE Operating System which gives it a smart phone-esque user interface. With 3 CPU’s to rely on, it is very fast! The G-scan 2 can access the Internet and utilize smart update, quick feedback system, real-time PC interface, and direct printing. Compared to Genisys and Pegasys, the G-Scan 2 moves at the speed of light! There really is no comparison when it comes to speed of operation as compared to the units that are so very popular here in the United States as GIT spared no expense in producing, not only the fastest tool I have used with this level of power and coverage, but also pared down the junk that always seems to be running in the background on other tools like Snap-On’s and OTC’s equipment.

G-Scan 2 Support Car List:

G-Scan 2 has OEM Hyundai & KIA Dealer Level Software (GIT & EZDS are the current OEM manufacture of Dealer Hyundai & KIA Diagnostic Scan Tools & diagnostic software). G-Scan 2 is a J-2534 pass-through programmer on Hyundai & KIA vehicles as well. This tool has its roots in the Hyundai and Kia dealership as their flagship diagnostic and programming tool. This feature is still evident in both the G-Scan I and G-Scan II. I personally drive a couple of European Vehicles so I have been able to access functionality that I could only access on an I Scan 2 WT in the past. When I start the preliminary evaluation of any diagnostic tool, I start by hooking up to vehicles that frequently re-direct most diagnostic tools to Global OBD II functionality. Most technicians know that when a diagnostic tool re-directs one to Global OBD II, it is that tool manufacturer saying “we simply can’t do any better so we will give you the bear minimum access to diagnostic capabilities and nominal functionality. In Global OBD II you get next to no bi-directional functionality and virtually no “special features” like initialization processes or re-learn capabilities. This is the only tool I know of that graphs not only manufactures data PIDS but allows graphing of global data PIDS (as a drivability guy I want unprocessed data not processed data when graphing a O2, MAF, TP, Cam or Crank Sensor, etc.) When I hook up to my MINI cooper, Volvo and Volkswagen vehicles, the functionality I get is as close to OEM as you can get. I can do smart window re-learns, Security re-sets and on many models, even key programming. The one thing that has absolutely floored me is the level of access to Supplemental Restraint System DTC’s as well as the ability to initialize sensors. I have done throttle actuator calibrations as well as ride height calibrations and the gambit of ABS service bleed operations and module initializations as well on a number of applications. Most recently, on a Nissan pathfinder, was able to diagnose a faulty sentry key module, and upon receiving a new controller, was able to initialize it, program the key and add another key as well. This tool has not failed to perform an initialization process on any of the Asian or European cars I have serviced. I can’t say I had as much success on a good number of American cars with security functions, but the bi-directional functions and initialization ability has been very good, far surpassing most diagnostic tools that boast comprehensive coverage on American Automobiles and trucks. I was able to replace & initialize a HVAC control head on Honda Odyssey, self-test & fail a HVAC control head on Toyota Sienna just like I was using a dealer level diagnostic unit.
G-Scan 2 Hardware and Cables:

One must also keep in mind when working with a diagnostic tool that the software is important, but only as good as the supporting hardware. When I was unpacking my G Scan 2, I couldn’t help but notice that the multiplexing attachment and plugs were all here! This provoked me to get hooked into some Benz models and the outcomes were incredible! Additionally, included in the vast array of cable ends is everything from the cutting edge to a good old school OBD I jumper plug for early Toyota. Speaking of OBD I applications, they are ALL here! Everything from GM, Ford and Chrysler to a great number of Asian and European early OBD adapters to complement the massive amount of early OBD I and OBD II applications. I was shocked to find a cable that would allow me to connect to a late 90’s Mercury Villager/Nissan Quest, when the dealership level diagnostic tool for this era vehicle was an expensive add on- back in its day. The infamous Mitsubishi multi-head adapter for the Chrysler era Mitsubishi’s were here as well. One of the biggest complaints I get from other technicians is that lots of companies provide a comprehensive set of OBD I and OBD II cables, but the cable quality is poor. This was absolutely NOT the case with G-Scan 2. The G-Scan 2 cable quality is so beyond anything I have unpacked from most competitors there is very little comparison. I was astonished at the quality of these cable adapters, and even the very high quality AC adapter. Interestingly enough, my AC adapter even came with adapters for global power applications. Low & High amp clamps are professional “dealer Tech” level quality. All of this stuff, including the case, is well thought out, and made for years of very rough service. Unlike a lot of other diagnostic tools made overseas, the G-Scan and G-Scan 2 have commercial quality cables and connectors.

G-Scan 2 Greatly Improved Functionality:

This tool has so many attributes that most other tools just do not have. I am accustomed to dealing with OEM level diagnostic tools and programs like wiTech, which allow you to do things that most generic diagnostic tools just don’t do. Things like being able to look for diagnostic trouble codes inside every single module on the network, without having to back out of any given module and go into another. G scan’s ‘System Search’ mode checks all the systems fitted in the car automatically, reports the number of fault codes found and availability of advanced diagnostic functions in each detected system. Sure, it’s a little thing, but it makes taking a peek into the entire CAN BUS system a snap when you are hooking up to see where the issues are. If you’re working at a shop that has the “$39.95 diagnostic special” and you want to achieve that full system scan quickly, G Scan 2 lets you do that! Unlike others who may have this function, like OTC, for instance, which takes like 15 minutes to do a full network system scan, I was able to accomplish a complete system scan in 37 seconds on a GMC Yukon with over 30 controllers on the network. That is impressive speed! In addition to the normal gamete of functions, screen capture, record and full text descriptors of codes are all there in both DTC mode as well as data stream mode.

How To Register Autel Maxisys MS906 Diagnostic Scanner

Original AUTEL MaxiSYS MS906 Auto Diagnostic Scanner is the updated Version of Autel MaxiDAS DS708
on Android Operating system

In order to get access to the Support platform and obtain update and other services from Autel,
you are required to register the Autel MaxiSys MS906 Diagnostic System the first time you use it.

To register the Autel MS906 diagnostic scanner:

1. Visit the website: http://pro.autel.com.

2. On the Sign In page, input your account ID and other information to log in, if you already have an account.

3. If you are a new member to Autel and do not have an account yet, click the Create Autel ID button on the left side.

4. Enter the required information in the input fields, read through Autel’s Terms and Conditions and tick on Agree, a
nd then click Create Autel ID at the bottom to continue.

5. The online system will automatically send a confirmation email to the registered email address.
Validate your account by clicking the link provided through the mail. A product registration screen opens.

6. Find out the device’s serial number and password from the About section of the Settings application on the display tablet.

7. Select the product model of your device, enter the product serial number and password on the
Product Registration screen, and click Submit to complete the registration procedure.

VXSCAN El-50448 Auto Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor TPMS Activation Tool OEC-T5 for Gm Series Vehicle

VXSCAN El-50448 For GM vehicles equipped with a 315 or 433 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system, a “Sensor Re-Learn Procedure” must be performed after tire rotations, Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module replacement or Tire Pressure Sensor replacement. This re-learn procedure can be performed by using special tool EL-50448.Also works on 2014 GM models

The tire pressure sensor on models in & after 2012 can be read, only with some specified diagnostic tools.
Before tire pressure monitoring system works normally properly, the body control module will record ID information of each position in the tire pressure sensor; and use the following methods to read the tire pressure sensor after replacing a tire or wheel speed sensor. Please refer to the specific methods as follows:

Step 1 – Enter leaning mode
Set the gearshift lever to “P”
Put the ignition switch to “ON”
Enter the interface of tire pressure display by DIC
DIC shows “Press Set / Ctrl to re-learn”
Press “Set / Ctrl”
The turn signal is lighted for 3 seconds and the horn beep sound twice to enter the learning mode

Step 2 – Read tire pressure sensor information
Start from the front-left wheel,
Make the J-46079 or Diagnostic Tool EL-50448 antenna up against the valve core position & close to the rim of the tire sidewall
El-50448 tire pressure tool starts by the start switch
Successful to read the tire pressure sensor information when the horn bleeps once

Step 3 – Same method to read other tire pressure information
Follow the instuction above to read tire pussure of the front-right, rear-right, rear-left wheels.
Turn signals is lighted for 3 seconds and the horn bleeps twice when the learning is complete.

At least this Vpecker does DPF regens easily.
My DS-150e can’t even do that although it is listed as one of it’s functions.
Even with DieselMax installed I couldn’t force a DPF regen on any VWs or BMWs.

1) What it can do more with special functions its for Toyota, Honda, Scion. But since it is original interface and software price is ok for it
2) So for now vpecker is good becuause it is even more faster then launch and original for good price, but not even close to delphi or launch because of the functions that it cannot do.
3) Tested today on Kia Cerato petrol,and finally some result, it haves options like launch idiag only one function is not there and that is brake fluid bleeding,all the rest functions are the same.
So far all cars that i have tested this one is the first one that haves some extra functions…
4) I have tried today on VW Golf MK IV 1.9 tdi, haves a lot of functions, this time even more then launch idiag,it haves even guided function,
and a lot special functions, and login, that is the first that vpecker works even better…
5) I have tested today on ASTRA J 2011 1.7 cdti wroks ok,haves special functions not a lot but ok. But it works until 2011,..
6) BMW 530d E60 engine connect , but only read/erase fault code and live data, service reset
(Tested) Vpecker can do injector cooding for a part of Toyota models.
